32 weeks & counting…. Friday, Jan 23 2009

Hello All!

We had our 32 week check up today…and, drum roll please…..the baby is head down and in position!!!!! I am soooo excited bc i have been walking 2miles, three days a week (which for a fat pregnant woman is like running the NY marathon three days a week) trying to get her to drop! I am soooo glad it has payed off! My books and the doctor have told me that walking may help the baby to come a few weeks early and even if she doesn’t it will definitely help during the labor & delivery! The Doc said today that my weight gain looked great and i measured right on  target. We will return in two weeks for our 34 week check up and will keep you updated!!!!!!

p.s. We have a new family website that we will be posting Autumn’s birth announcement on and that we will begin using to keep in touch with you all after she is born. The web address is www.autumnryan.webs.com  We will email it to everyone after the birth to make sure you have it!

An Unexpected Visit…… Thursday, Jan 8 2009

Hello All,

We had a bit of an unexpected visit to the practitioner today! I have been having severe sharp pains in my pelvic area that i worried might be contractions and after waking up last night several times in extreme pain i called the nurse at my OB this afternoon. They asked me to come in and gave me a NST (non stress test) for about 30 min, where the hook you up to fetal monitors and record uterine movement and contractions. After the test i saw the doctor who told me i had one contraction during the test but it was most likely a braxton hicks contraction because it wasn’t very strong. She did an exam and said the baby’s positioning was good and i wasn’t dilated which was good to hear! Turns out my little one is literally a real pain! Because of the way she is positioned right now she is hitting a nerve when she wriggles around in there and that’s what is causing such intense pain. The doctor gave me some ideas on how to get her to shift positions a bit when the pain starts acting up but said it should all subside over the next few weeks as the baby shifts into the head down position for delivery. So, nothing to worry about but well keep you updated! Keep us in your prayers that she decides on a new pose quickly as she is making her mommy VERY uncomfortable!

30 weeks and counting…. Wednesday, Jan 7 2009

Hello everyone! We hope you had Happy Holidays and that everyone is doing well! We had our 30 week checkup yesterday and everything seems to be going perfectly. We will make a return visit in two weeks which will continue up until delivery! We are 3/4 of the way through the pregnancy now and very very excited about Autumn’s arrival.  We now have just 10 weeks until my due date but we are hoping baby Autumn will grace us with her presence a bit early as it is normal to go into labor anywhere between 36 and 40 weeks. (I’m shooting for 36!) Please keep us in your prayers as Ryan continues pursuing his MBA and the arrival of our daughter quickly approaches! Many Blessings,

Ryan, Stacey and Autumn Fischer
