Hello All,

We had a bit of an unexpected visit to the practitioner today! I have been having severe sharp pains in my pelvic area that i worried might be contractions and after waking up last night several times in extreme pain i called the nurse at my OB this afternoon. They asked me to come in and gave me a NST (non stress test) for about 30 min, where the hook you up to fetal monitors and record uterine movement and contractions. After the test i saw the doctor who told me i had one contraction during the test but it was most likely a braxton hicks contraction because it wasn’t very strong. She did an exam and said the baby’s positioning was good and i wasn’t dilated which was good to hear! Turns out my little one is literally a real pain! Because of the way she is positioned right now she is hitting a nerve when she wriggles around in there and that’s what is causing such intense pain. The doctor gave me some ideas on how to get her to shift positions a bit when the pain starts acting up but said it should all subside over the next few weeks as the baby shifts into the head down position for delivery. So, nothing to worry about but well keep you updated! Keep us in your prayers that she decides on a new pose quickly as she is making her mommy VERY uncomfortable!

Love, Ry & Stace
